What are the procedures for picking up my pet?

Albany Animal Emergency Clinic

From Monday through Friday morning, your pet will be picked up between 7:00 – 8:00 am. When you come to pick up your pet, you will first speak with one of our receptionists. Our receptionist will discharge your pet; give you any prescribed medications, a copy of your pet’s medical record, and copies of any radiographs (x-rays) that were taken.

After you speak with our receptionist, a doctor will meet with you to discuss your pets’ overnight care and the next steps for treatment. If your pet is in need of continued care, you will need to take your pet to your regular veterinarian. If you need to go to your regular veterinarian, there will be no need for you to make an appointment. We will have already faxed over your pet’s medical records or have spoken with your pet’s regular doctor, so he or she should already be anticipating your arrival.
